Studio Update - February
Well, January certainly gave us a rocky start to the year here at Unseen Icons HQ. No time for finding our intention word for the year this month, unless ROOF counts, as it literally blew off of the studio in the middle of the night! And although after a good clean up we emerged relatively unscathed, it did cause quite a backlog when we only had half the studio space to work in! Not the best start, but it’s certainly not how we mean to carry on…
We did however get a chance to send out details of a mega clearance sale to all of our newsletter subscribers and it sold out within 12 hours! Just incredible! Thank you to everyone who managed to snap up one of our seats, we can’t wait to see them all in their new homes so please do share photos with us!
Going forward, our plan is to continue to reward our loyal subscribers with first access to all of our special offers and discounts before we share them on social media - so don’t forget to add us to your contact list so we don’t disappear into the abyss that is the dreaded spam folder.
As we mentioned last month, another project we have been working on was a bespoke set of three vintage cinema seats for an opticians. They were looking for a bespoke designed fabric to fit with their art deco look. I worked with Maria of This Rebel Draws to create some new designs that coordinated with the wallpaper they had chosen. We thought it would be fun to share a peek at a few of our favourite ideas that they didn’t pick (mine was the one with the glasses).
They went with something a little different in the end, but here is a photo of the completed seat! We think it's pretty awesome!
In other news, we are having a little website refresh this month so keep an eye out for that. We’re making it easier to order cinema seats direct from the website with a new ‘Made to Order’ collection that showcases our favourite fabrics and colour combos.
